A message from Erika:
Thank you for being a part of my motherhood journey. As many of you know, in 2018 I lost my daughter Emma. Since then, I have been fiercely advocating for Emma and for the safety of all babies by raising awareness of the dangers of incline sleep products. In honor of her legacy, and the lives of over 100 babies gone too soon, I helped bring about lasting change. In 2022 President Biden signed into law the Safe Sleep for Babies Act, federally banning all incline sleep products.
Now we’re welcoming Emma’s brother into our family. However, being a bereaved mother and an expecting mother has a unique set of challenges. That’s why we’re enlisting help from the postpartum doula experts at Bridgetown Baby. They’ll guide us through this new chapter with their exceptional care - making sure both of us get rest and additional support, as we know we’ll need a lot of it. Most importantly, their overnight visits will help us through some of the hardest parts of the journey.
