Krystle Gard
Certified Postpartum Doula | she/her
“We adore Krystle. She is compassionate & kind.”
—Gergely P., first time father of twins
Krystle gave birth to her first child at home in the care of a midwife and doulas. It was a defining moment. She fell in love with the energy of the birth experience and credits her amazing birth team with her feelings of peace and safety. Before the year was out, Krystle began working as doula, helping other birthing mothers. Then, just after a move to a new city, she had twins. Without family or a support system, Krystle was exhausted and felt she missed a lot of the fun and beauty of her growing family. Her subsequent experience working with postpartum doulas after the birth of her baby through surrogacy confirmed her decision to focusing on providing postpartum support.
With this varied background, Krystle enjoys serving families of all shapes and sizes. She loves the sense of purpose and connection that comes with helping women after they have given birth and is passionate about providing the postpartum support that they need, whether it be taking care of a baby and household tasks, or acting as a sounding board during that vulnerable time. An engineer by training, Krystle is an organized person who enjoys helping parents find a system and flow that will make their lives easier as a parent. She is also known for being particularly capable and intuitive with the babies.
When she is not doing postpartum work, Krystle is outdoor junkie. She revels in spending time in nature with her family, kayaking, hiking, biking, and skiing. Krystle is also interested in all things related to nutrition and is on a quest to find healthy ways to satisfy her sweet tooth.
