Katherine Geis
Certified Postpartum Doula | she/her
“Katherine has a passion for birth and postpartum work and is very knowledgeable, thoughtful, and calming.”
—Liz S., mother of 2
Katherine has long been fascinated by birth, babies, and parenthood as a rite of passage. She explored midwifery and birth doula work, but realized that what she loved most was helping parents deal with the enormous emotional and mental changes that come with welcoming a baby. She especially values her training through Birthing From Within and enjoys guiding people through childbirth preparation from a heart-centered, non-outcome-based focus. She brings this supportive, open mindset to her postpartum work as well.
Katherine vividly remembers struggling after the birth of her two children, and believes that we are not meant to do this alone. She loves being able to adapt and fulfill a variety of needs for families during this transformational time. Her calm and reassuring presence helps parents feel comforted and confident as they adjust to life with their baby.
When she’s not working with families, Katherine enjoys weaving together a creative life through reading, knitting, watercolor sketching, storytelling, spending time in nature, and caring for her family.
