REST. For the love of all that his holy, rest. While snuggling up in bed with your fresh new baby is absolute heaven, you might be missing your weekend strolls at the farmer’s market. Stock up on snacks. Birthing, recovery and parenting an infant is tiring work. Do yourself a favor and leave little “snacking stations” around your house, where you’ll be hunkered down with baby.
Replenish your body by feeding yourself nourishing and whole foods postpartum. Consume foods rich in iron (red meat, dark leafy greens), Vitamin B12 (tuna, beef, salmon), DHA (salmon, eggs, dairy), choline (eggs, liver) and Vitamin D (salmon and tuna, orange juice, egg yolks).
